The listing says this bed frame is an easy assembly and recommends two people. I ended up doing almost all of the assembly by myself, and it took me about 50 minutes. It probably would have gone a little faster if I hadn’t spent some time interpreting a few of the instructions, but once I understood them, everything was straightforward to put together. After assembly, the frame was sturdy, level, and felt very solid. The materials seem to be good quality, and I don’t have any concerns about its durability. I bought this bed for my elderly parents, and the height is perfect for them to get in and out of bed comfortably. One thing that initially confused me was the packaging. Since it’s an upholstered bed frame, all of the padded side rails were vacuum-sealed, which made the box look much smaller than expected. Beautiful bed!!!! Shipping was well-packaged, with no damage to the box. It was surprisingly compact. It took under an hour to put together. Came with all necessary parts and some extras, and was generally a pretty straight-forward assembly. We ran into one issue: On one of the corner "brackets" a piece of metal was slightly bent out of shape (less than 1/4"); because of this, it obstructed the alignment for the bolt to screw in. It had to be manually unbent using a wedge of wood and a hammer. It wasn't too big of a deal to fix. It's very sturdy and doesn't dip at all. The padding material of the headboard and side give good support (but still a little stiff after 2 days of airing out), and quite soft, but maybe more firm than we expected. The height of the headboard is misleading in the stock photos, where it looks like it will rise a couple feet above the mattress. Double-check your measurements of your mattress before buying.(Works best for a small mattress.) Reference attached photos for a clearer idea. Our mattress is 14", and the headboard felt way too low to lean against. (We somehow thought the mattress would be inside the lower portion a bit, rather than sitting on the top.) To make it work for us: We lifted up the headboard and pinched it between the mattress and the wall to make it an appropriate height.
