So this is a round tabletop, yet the edges are very sharp! I suppose this is one way to retrain myself to keep my elbows off the table, but annoying nonetheless. Its a really attractive set, and the faux marble tabletop (while obviously not real marble) looks nice and hides stains. It was super easy to put the table together, but the stools were annoyingly difficult. Im giving it 4 stars for looks and because its exactly what I wanted for my small dining room space, but Id say the cons are that the table edge (if a round table can have edges) is too sharp and the stools are difficult to put together and then seem to need tightening every so often. I would cautiously recommend this set to a friend, but I would warn them of the few negatives first. Im still trying to figure out a way to make the edge of the table less painful for my arms to rest on."..."  Read more

We purchased this set after shopping online for dinette sets. My wife works for [...] and they did not have a dinette set that would coordinate with our kitchen of the home we purchased. To bad. She gets a 50% employee discount. We are very satisfied. One area of misunderstanding is the dimension of the top. We read 31.5" width and the table top is actually 45". Fortunately, our alcove area is large enough for the increased size. The assembly is difficult if you are not very handy with tools and have a good amount of grip strength. It took me 2.5 hours to assemble the table, 2 chairs and 1 bar stool. I have 2 chairs and 1 bar stool to assemble today. The set is absolutely beautiful in our home."..."  Read more

i searched every local furniture store around looking for a dining room table and chair set that was affordable but not ordinary and this really fit the bill! After every store visit and on-line search i kept coming back to this set. I was worried about ordering it on-line without being able to touch it and sit on the chairs, maybe they would be uncomfortable or the set would be cheaply made. Finally because i found nothing i liked as well, i ordered and was so impressed with the qualtiy, how easily it went together and finally, HOW GREAT IT LOOKS!
