The quality is excellent for the price. The table and chairs are sturdy and were easy to assemble. Took 2hrs and 2 people to assemble the 12 chairs. All pieces have these intentional grooves/marks. Not sure it adds the character of the piece but it doesnt hurt it either. The leaves are very easy to add and take out and store in the table. I love this little table and chairs! It was really easy to put together and it’s very sturdy. Only 2 issues during install: #1 they sent 7 wooden plugs fur the chairs instead of 8 and apparently you need to buy wood glue to put them in, which is no biggie, I can pick up an extra at the hardware store. #2 there were no guide marks on the bottom of the table to show where to attach the brackets.
