Critical Review + Assembly Details

FINISHED PRODUCT: (1) Both colors have a **fake woodgrain** that is not visible in the photo. It's tasteful and I like it better than if it were solid formica-looking. (2) What I DO NOT like are the almost half inch holes that were required to assemble the angles (pre-drilled). They provide stickers that match the surface (woodgrain on the stickers and all) so its not too noticeable, and its expected from a self-assembly piece, but it's not thrilling. (3) Some of the pieces are a hair off - more than in the picture above, so it looks less like a solid piece of wood than the photo. Its subtle and isn't bothering me for the price of this. I'm overall happy with the way this looks in our small apartment.
Good product, bad service
Jonathan from ,– Verified Buyer
A week to get it, not so bad. A week to get replacement boards because of a faulty one, ok. Another week because they didn't seem to read my request form and left out two boards and a hardware kit, still never got the kit, really just ridiculous.
Good color and Good design

I bought this bookcase for the small wall in my living room, the wall was white and has a stairs from one side and bay-window from the other, having this bookcase the color and the design fits exactly and added great look on the wall . the book case has to position as mentioned on the pictures , i used the position the horizontal position and added 2 rectangular canvas paintings this combination made it look perfect.

I needed a long, narrow shelving unit to store books and other items for my bedroom. I bought the black model and put it on it's side. I wanted something that wouldn't take up all of the wall space. This unit was perfect. It took a bit of time to put together and you'll need a good-size space because there are lots of pieces. The directions are easy to follow and I didn't need help from my husband (except to move it in place). My only complaint is that the stickers you get to cover the bolt holes fall off. Once the shelf is filled with books, etc. you can't see the holes inside the compartments, but they are visible on he sides. Great for my purpose!
Love the look

We love the way this bookcase / display-case looks. It was actually really easy to put together because all the pieces are marked with numbers, and the instructions give you the exact order to put things together. BUT, the pre-drilled holes on the case were off on a few of the shelves, and so there are some slight gaps between some of the joints that make it apparent that the case was assembled, as opposed to a nicely constructed, high-quality piece. I was also turned off a bit by the little white stickers they give you to cover the screw holes, but from a few feet away they do not look that bad. We use it to store a mixture of books and small sculptures, and are basically happy with it, with the exception of a few of the shelves being crooked due to the badly drilled holes.

The bookcase is one of a kind. It has so many different compartments that it is perfect for all types of items. The item was fairly easy to assemble. I followed the assembly instructions and once I got through the first step, the rest was a breeze. I also had my son helped me, which was a great family project. It could be set either horizontal or vertical. I chose to set my vertical to save floor space. Overall, it is a pretty nice item and has many usage. I am able to place books, vases, jars, flowers, and also small picture frames.
Great looking bookshelf - makes a unique statement

So overall I really like this new bookshelf. I was able to put it together fairly easily and it took maybe 3 hours total. I expect it will be much easier to put together the second one I bought.
Great Bookcase, but lots of pieces
Sandie from Laguna Beach, CA
I counted 34 individual pieces for this item once we unpacked it and thankful I have a husband who knows what he's doing when it comes to putting something together. This is not for the amateur though and if you don't own any tools, forget it! Ladies, get a guy who has patience and won't beat it to death when it doesn't go together right. The final result is great and it's a unique piece of furniture in a room instead of the boring simple lines of a traditional bookcase. We've combined decorative items as well as books very nicely and everyone who sees it comments on it.
Very stylish selves.

We are thrilled with the white Bradshaw shelves. The instructions were incredibly easy to follow. Although I do suggest heavily on a drill. The shelves are strong and sturdy, the packaging had every piece protected and were without any scuffs or scratches. We mounted ours on the wall and it shows off like artwork. A very attractive piece. Could not be more pleased with this purchase. Thanks AllModern:)

Was just as described. I bought two to use side by side as a free standing room divider for decorative items and functional storage. Looks great and get lots of compliments. Assembly was slow as other reviewers mentioned, but worth it! As for the complaints about the screw hole covers, I didn't use them. Instead I bought a wood stain touch-up pen and stained the insides of the holes to match. Quick, cheap, and easy and now they blend right in. They're barely noticeable, and I think it looks normal, like it was designed to be that way.
