I first ordered these baskets 8 or 10 years ago. They are more of fabric, not a hard plastic. They were starting to unravel and handles breaking. But they have served well and I like the look so ordered another round. I use them for storing seasonal wear like hats, gloves, snow pants and swim googles. I only wish I could find the 2 smaller sizes too, though those are holding up better than these larger ones, probably due to weight and frequency of pulling them down from higher shelves. The ones that came with the cubbies are 13x13, these are quite a bit smaller and are extremely flimsy.
