I truly love how these benches turned out. We loved the look of the benches but didn’t need the L-shape for our room. I will say it was not easy to manipulate them to become 2 separate benches. To get more versatility from this product, I would suggest it would be better to make it possible to have 2 separate benches, the way the l-shape is formatted is very limiting for the structure. I love this storage bench. The wood laminate is very convincing and well finished. The curved edge is very clean and modern. I just wish there was a way to adhere or strap the pillowpad onto the top to secure it, I am worried the kids will slip right off if they sit on it. But it is perfect for me. There were a few minor dents and scratches and I was missing a couple of screws so that wasnt great but the hardware for the doors is so nice. Other reviews mentioned the inside base board is flimsy… it’s definitely not the same thickness as the external structure, but I think it would do the trick for most items.
