This bench was made by hand in India. It was created by local village weavers who first weave the fabric, making it to the exact dimensions needed and then upholster onto the handmade sheesham wood frame.

Better than expected; the woven top is so cute and the color of the wood is a rich medium brown which matches well with my cherry furniture. Solid weight as well so it won’t tip over easily . We received a bench similar to the one shown not quite as rustic, not made by Loon Peak and assembly was required. There were no defects or issues putting together. You will need wood glue when you assemble because some parts fit together peg style. And I think it affects the structural integrity of it so I would not skip the glue step. I needed another person when putting together because the pieces were too long to hold and screw straight at the same time. The directions were easy to follow. It comes up to my knees height wise. Its a nice accent piece in a walk way or entry area. You can dress it up with pillows and decorative pieces. It holds 5 pairs of adult shoes on the bottoms for us. This bench arrived fully assembled and worked well for the smaller space by our door. The slats over the drawers have no barrier, so if you set shoes on them, any debris could fall into the drawers, which is a bad choice in design. Other than that, it is heavy and well made..
