The pad on top is fine, the material of the cover is very thin and flimsy, kind of like a very light linen. Can easily change it if I can find the right size. We love that this storage bench combines seating and hidden organization in one practical piece.

We have a shoeless house so this small benchshoe organizer is perfect without being in the way. It would hold 8 pairs of my size 7 shoes or 6 of my BFs size 10.5. Only his flip flops will fit on top (my sneakers and low heels fit fine). High heels or don’t fit here and I doubt men’s size 11 or larger would fit. The cushion is loose and optional. We will likely add an adhesive if we don’t swap out. I addd contact paper inside to help with wear and tear. This is gorgeous! I am glad I purchased it. No regrets.This bench was a bit difficult to put together, but eventually it all came together and I ended up with a lovely bench. I love all the storage and comfortable seating. I do plan to customize the seat cushions with a different color and cushion depth.
