Aside from some issues with Fedex, I love this bench. I was going to get the assembly service but decided to give it a go on my own. The directions were clear and though the pieces are heavy (good quality), I was able to do it myself in about 2 hours. I love it even more for that! It looks great in my hallway and feels solid and sturdy. The only things to note are that the wood is a tad less dark than it appears in the picture and the feet may scratch hard wood floors so I would suggest you get something to protect them. This bench looks wonderful in person! You only have to attach the legs when it arrives otherwise it's fully assembled. Very spacious on the inside I've put all my silky sweaters and sweatshirts inside it. I didn't give it 5 stars only because it came with a small tear, the box was in good shape so must have been present before or during boxing at manufacturer. It's a bit tricky to assemble but the top wood piece is solid and a nice color. One of the heads' of the screws that goes into the top piece broke off while screwing it in, leaving the stem inside.
