The fabric on the bench is quite nice and it can be removed if you would like to reupholster. Shoe storage is awesome fitting four pairs on the shelf and four more under it, but I particularly wanted shoes off the floor. The depth is very narrow at 12”, but that makes it great for a narrow space. The frame is not that great of quality when it comes to the finish. There were some flaws in the finish and wood. I love this bench. It only took me about five minutes to put the whole thing together from start to finish. The only thing that I don’t like about it is it the top doesn’t hinge open and close, you have to lift it off and put it back down, but otherwise it’s really pretty and a great size!
