This is a very nice cat shelter for the feral cat that has moved into my yard . Very simple to assemble, sturdy and looks like it will hold up in the Midwest weather. We love this catio! We use it for an out door enclosure for rehabbing opossums. We added a lot of branches for climbing, and the metal wiring is the perfect size to keep raccoons out and opossums in. The nest boxes are great too! We’re extremely happy with the purchase and the opossums are too! There’s a small door on the bottom which works great for soft release is on your property. We bought this Cat Enclosure because we can not let our cats roam around outside where we live. It took a while to get this cat enclosure assembled but the directions were pretty clear and almost all the parts were labeled. The parts that were not labeled were pretty easy to figure out what they were. There were many different sizes of bolts and screws but all the bolts used the same locking nuts. The assembly job would have been a lot easier if two people were to do it and I would definitely recommend doing the assembly with two people. Well see how they like being in it. The catio serves it's purpose. What I liked - it is very spacious on the inside. I have 3 cats and wanted rooms for the 3 cats. Now this is what one needs to consider when buying - Instructions manual says 1 hour to assemble (WRONG). This is about a 6-8 hour project. 2. While it sems like it will hold up, I bought bracket and braces to reinforce the catio 3. Also the description is off about the length it is not at long as stated, 4. Also I did not put up all the cat shelves inside the catio, I felt it made the catio to congested. 5. I paid about 340$ for this catio, I think this is over priced compared to similar catios - length and height. Overall I would recommended even with all my critiques because it served my purpose. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. It’s nice. Quality is good not the greatest some parts came dented (wood and cage material) but overall good quality. Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. We were missing 7 main screws but nothing we couldn’t get at the stores. We have three heavy/fat cats. Overall I’d say if you would like a safe and spacious enclosure for your cats this is nice.. It works for our one kitty but would likely be too small for more than one, unless they're kittens. Its quality and durability are as expected for the price.
