Cooking enthusiasts can reveal their hidden cooking talents with this cast iron wok from Staub, as cast iron stores heat wonderfully and releases it steadily and evenly. It is perfect for searing meat and stir-frying vegetables, as well as for gently cooking them. Staub cast iron cookware also lends itself perfectly to braising, stewing and frying. A key feature of a wok is that the rim also heats up, transferring heat to the meat or vegetables when they are tossed and stirred. As these dishes are often fried and cooked very quickly, wok-cooking retains lots of nutrients in the food, above all keeping vegetables deliciously crunchy. Cast iron is also very scratch-resistant and durable. The wok is also extremely easy to clean so that frequent use of this cookware becomes a real pleasure. It is also suitable for use on all types of cooker, including induction hobs. Its 9.5-in width that it can even be popped into the oven when you need to keep something hot. The wok is round and comes in a bright shade of cherry red, sure to enhance every dining table. Serve your food directly from hob to table. As the cast iron releases the stored heat for longer, it is also possible to leave hot food standing on the table for a relaxing and leisurely meal with friends or family.

I always wanted this and was so happy I finally added to my Staub collection... Hye Mi. Duluth, GA. Fri Apr 24 2026

Item has been backordered so I just received while on vacation; therefore, I have not had an opportunity to use it yet. Appears to be well constructed, has good weight to it for cooking, and stylish design. The 12" carbon steel wok is great. Though it came pre-seasoned, I seasoned it again before my first use. Made some stir fried rice. The result was amazing. I have been using it for almost 10 days. As I also use a lot of cast iron pans, I am familiar with the seasoning techniques. The non-stick function is amazing. I also have a 14" carbon steel wok from Cuisinart. I really love using them for stir frying and for deep frying. They are both great additions to my kitchen.. Rk26. Toronto, ON. Sat Dec 27 2025

Staub enameled cast iron cookware is the top choice for chefs and home cooks alike. Rooted in French culinary heritage, Staub's renowned cocottes are timeless pieces, perfect for casual meals or sumptuous suppers. The Essential French Oven with Chistera lid is the latest star in the cast iron collection. Like Staub's signature flat lid, the domed Chistera lid has excellent self-basting properties. Usually, a convex lid causes condensation to fall to the sides. The innovative, Chistera drop-structure lid solves this problem by putting a twist on traditional spikes. Moisture cascades from the whole lid. This continuous basting guarantees delectable roast chicken and braised short ribs. What inspired this original design? Basque pelota players use wicker basket chisteras to scoop up balls and hurl them quickly. Under Staub's new lids, the chistera-shaped curves gather condensation to shower moisture upon the delicious dish that simmers inside.
