[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There’s been no better way to beat the heat. On days that have been double and feeling like triple digits I’ve been grateful to have this to use. It’s quiet, easy to hook up, and cooled our room within minutes- it circulated to our entire upstairs which doesn’t always have the best ventilation. It’s a larger unit, but packs a lot of power and has a sleek design that it isn’t necessarily an eye sore- you just need the space!. Lorik. Sat Jul 18 2026

The LG 6000 BTU Smart Portable Air Conditioner takes everyday cooling and adds the kind of intelligent control that fits naturally into a connected home. With coverage for rooms up to 250 square feet, it delivers real, effective cooling — and with Wi-Fi and smart home integration built in, managing your comfort has never been more effortless or intuitive. Prefer hands-free control? This unit works seamlessly with Google Home and Amazon Alexa, so a quick voice command is all it takes to change the settings. For those who prefer traditional controls, the included remote and onboard panel work just as well. Two fan speeds and an adjustable thermostat let you fine-tune comfort to your exact liking, while the Auto Evaporation System reduces how often you need to drain the unit — keeping the cooling continuous and low-maintenance. Setup is quick with the rolling casters and included window kit, and quiet operation means it won't disrupt your sleep, work, or downtime. This is cooling designed to work around your life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been really impressed with this LG portable air conditioner! It cools the room down quickly and does a great job keeping the temperature comfortable, even on really hot days. The controls on top are simple to use, and I love being able to adjust the temperature and fan speed depending on what we need. For a portable unit, it runs fairly quietly and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I also really like the clean, modern design—it blends in nicely instead of being an eyesore. The wheels make it easy to move when needed, and the LG ThinQ feature is a nice bonus for convenient control. Overall, it has been reliable, easy to use, and puts out plenty of cool air. Definitely a great option if you need extra cooling without installing a window unit!. Traciea. Wed Aug 12 2026

After dealing with a freestanding portable AC for years, it makes sense this LG window unit feels like a big upgrade. Portable units tend to struggle with efficiency and air distribution, and they’re usually noisier and more cumbersome than people expect once the novelty wears off. A well-designed window unit removes a lot of that friction right away. What stands out most in what you’re describing is the combination of ease and control. Installation on modern LG window units is typically much more straightforward than older models, and once it’s seated properly, they tend to feel more “set and forget.” The cooling performance is usually more consistent too, since window units can vent heat more effectively than freestanding setups. That difference alone can make a room feel noticeably more stable in temperature rather than cycling between hot and “sort of cool.” The convenience features are where these newer models really separate themselves from older generations. The remote is no longer just a bonus—it becomes how you actually interact with the unit day to day. And the app control takes it a step further, letting you adjust temperature, modes, and timers without having to be physically near the window. That kind of flexibility is especially useful in bedrooms or larger spaces where you don’t want to keep getting up to tweak settings. Overall, it sounds like you moved from a “good enough” cooling solution to something that actually fits into daily life smoothly—quietly doing its job while giving you more control with less effort.. Bought it for a 10 by 10 space and it kept the room UBER cold! My son would shut it off because the space would get so cold. I had the previous model and the door broke from opening to clean the filter. Therefore, it was nice to see they changed it to a pull out feature to clean the filter, which is better. However, it has no economy feature which would have been nice in order to save some money. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase.. Linette. Bay Shore, NY. Fri Jun 24 2022
