There are some good features to this air conditioner. It is lightweight and easy to carry and install into the window. It has several modes and the lowest setting makes very little noise. The "quiet" setting is very quiet. It doesn't give the cold cooling feeling that old air conditioners do and feels more like a central air conditioning system. My windows are non standard wide so I had to adjust the installation recommendations. We got this 18000 BTU ductless unit for our soon to be remodel garage/ laundry room that’s only about 500 square feet so this will be more than enough to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Soon as our HVAC guy comes out and does the installation I’ll update as to it’s efficiency but for the price of a unit this size you can’t beat it and it comes with everything you need. This came just in the nick of time with temperatures getting in the in the unbearable ranges. It was easy to put together and install without directions but I still did read directions to make sure everything perfect based on previous experiences with portable AC units. I have this in a 9x12 room and on the first night, it took quite some time to cool down, the room temperature was 93 when I started it around 9 pm and it reached 73 around 2 am. All windows and doors were closed so no hot air was flowing into the room. It won’t cool down the space as well as a traditional HVAC but it’s great help if it’s all you have.. Michele. US. This AC gets very cold and cools my room down really fast. It seems like something you can leave installed year-round since it is insulated and also has a heating function. It feels high quality and works great. The instructions were just a tiny bit confusing about how to set up the support triangles, but it was simple enough to figure out on my own.
