Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after. Very energy efficient and sleek looking. I installed through the wall with no issues. Only problem is that it was damaged during shipping but Wayfair made it right. There are some good features to this air conditioner. It is lightweight and easy to carry and install into the window. It has several modes and the lowest setting makes very little noise. The "quiet" setting is very quiet. It doesn't give the cold cooling feeling that old air conditioners do and feels more like a central air conditioning system. My windows are non standard wide so I had to adjust the installation recommendations. I had searched since last spring for a replacement air conditioner. Each time I thought I had found one with the features I needed, it wasn't available or sold out. I ordered one only for it to be delsyed twice and then the shipping date changed to 2027. Therefore having to cancel it. I saw this Black and Decker on labor day sale and as I started to order it.
