A great air. Gets colder much quicker than my 10,000 btu. The wall air conditioners are loud compared to the window ones but it’s because of the placement of the engine. The service I received for the air was really great too. They walked up 3 flights of stairs and placed in the room of my choice. It saved me a trip.. Samantha. New York, NY. Tue Sep 08 2026

GE Appliances is dedicated to providing the right solutions for rooms of any size. Our portable air conditioners are designed to provide exceptional comfort with quiet operation, and the 3-in-1 functionality with built-in air conditioning, three fan speeds and dehumidifying capabilities provide ultimate flexibility and convenience. This 115V GE Smart Portable Air Conditioner cools medium-sized rooms up to 450 square feet and is perfect for a living room or office. Upgrade this AC to dual hose with additional RAP02 portable AC dual hose conversion kit, which provides up to 3X* better cooling experience, allowing your room to cool faster and more uniformly (*for 7,500 SACC tested at 95). The auto-evaporation technology evaporates any water the portable unit collects under most room conditions, eliminating the need to drain excess water. LED controls with included remote make it easy to clearly see and manage your settings from anywhere in your room, or connect to the SmartHQ app to monitor your unit on the go. This portable AC installs easily in double hung or sliding windows with no cutting required and comes with easy-roll wheels for effortless mobility. Additional features like a washable filter, 24-hour on/off timer, and auto restart offer ease of use and maintenance. Portable units must be vented out of a window.

The portable AC unit definitely helps cool the room and makes my overall electric bill cheaper by not running the central AC as much. The biggest game changer is buying the dual hose conversion. I would not recommend this product if you did not purchase the door hose conversion. After purchasing the dual host conversion kit, I would say the product runs 70% more efficient with less humidity.. Zach580. Ardmore Oklahoma. Mon Sep 08 2025

What a disappointment this unit was. I had to drain it multiple times in the first 24 hours, one time it leaked out all over my floors when I tried to run it while I was out, hoping to come home to a cool bedroom. Wishful thinking… The unit rumbles loudly, shakes my floors, and the fan was mind-numbingly squeaky right from the moment it turned on. It was many decibels louder than estimated - I clocked the average at around 64 decibels. Did not perform well heating my ~100 square foot room. The app worked but I was not able to get it working with Alexa, which effortlessly controls nearly everything else in my house. Would not recommend at all - will be returning as soon as possible..
