Even though we had to leave the foot-end crossbar off until we replace the light fixture with a flat-to-the-ceiling fixture, this bed is solid, sturdy, and beautiful! The iron constructed canopy combined with the ivory frame and headboard make this bed structurally strong and aesthetically beautiful. It took my husband and son about an hour to unwrap all the pieces and assemble the bed. We added the macrame curtains, which we easily strung along the side crossbars before fastening them into place. The canopy bed is beautiful and was easy to assemble. The instructions included are accurate and easy to follow. I only knocked a star off because the top and bottom "F" pieces did not screw in on the left side of the bed because the screw holes didn't align properly. I even tried turning them around, flipping them upside down and swapping the places of the 2 bars, to no avail. But I just left the bars slotted into the brackets and I think it will be ok..they are just not secured with screws on that side of the bed.
