Miss Peeb's Mommy from Chicago
I'd had a couple of Armarkat trees a few years ago, and my old cat loved them. But when he passed away I gave them to friends (I was determined not to have another cat.) Well, as life always seems to do, it threw my plans into complete disarray by presenting me with the loveliest little kitten who needed her own cat tree. Since I don't want to keep her an only cat for ever I decided to opt for a substantially larger tree than I'd had before and this nearly 6' model seemed to be the best one for the price based on what I know of Armarkat's quality. I wasn't disappointed either. It's a good, solid cat tree with a lot of features like a ramp, a little hidey house, a rope (which Miss Peeb hasn't even noticed yet!) and balls on elastic string, which she ripped down immediately. And therein lies the first of my admittedly minor criticisms of this item. Those are lovely little toys and very alluring to cats, but unless your cat is 20 years old or a complete slug, it's going to pull those balls loose. That isn't a huge problem, but it has the potential to be quite dangerous if your cat likes to eat strange objects. I suggest you forego affixing them to the tree, cut off the elastic and just toss them to your cat. She'll have a terrific time and you won't end up with a whopping vet bill. My second criticism is that there are several different size bolts used in this item, but the sizes aren't so different that it's easy to tell them apart. I got it wrong and ended up affixing the little tunnel to the underside of one of the platform with a bolt that was too long, and pushed up through the plush cover. Rather than take the thing apart, I covered the bolt end with a bit of duct tape. It's not an elegant solution but as the tape is purple it's a jolly one. Finally I think the Armarkat trees could benefit from broader bases. This is a fairly consistent issue with the larger trees; I've noted it not only in the ones I've owned but the ones my sister has gotten for my nephews. They wobble. I'm not worried that it'll come crashing down when Miss Peeb hits it at a 90 MPH, but she's still little. And there's only one of her. If it begins to look as if there's a question about the stability, I'm going to have to find some way to attach it to the floor or wall just to be sure she won't go flying out a window one day. That would be awkward. However, all things considered, this is one of the best trees I've ever purchased, and the price was very good. The bottom line, I guess, is that I would buy an Armarkat tree again in a heartbeat.
Had this tree for 2 years

Background: I have two cats. A 12 year old medium hair and a 5 year old short hair. We live in a small space and the tree has been placed next to the bed (about three feet away). Price: Very pleased with the price of the tree $111 when I purchased. Cost of shipping to Canada was $40. Taxes were about $20. Shipping and Service: Item came disassembled in a large box. It was not very heavy. The only problem was that one of the boards was cracked (not sure during shipping or before). I contacted Wayfair right away, and they sent me to replacement part free of charge. Assembly: Easy and intuitive. You can also easily disassemble it yourself if you need to move. Colours and Materials: The blue is a great "modern" colour, but you can see cat hair all the time. I need to squeege and vaccuum the tree once a week. Sisal posts are nice and sturdy. Unfortunately, my 12 year old makes a habit of clawing the landings, so after a year of wear and tear, the blue parts are coming apart (lifting up). Ca-tability: Both of my cats are full grown. They do not use the hanging tunnel (to be honest they don't fit). I also have the tree up against the wall, so the cat's can't even go through the other side. Neither of my cats used the rope. The base landing has been mostly ignored. My cats like the top two landings the most, and on occasion, do play with the dangly toy. My 12 year old only uses the first step of the stair to come down, but my 5 year old just jumps off the tree. The tree is sturdy, but I just find that many of the features were not usable for my cats and to be honest, you won't have kittens for long. Conclusion: I can live with the tree, but I wouldn't purchase it again. If you haven't bought this yet, I would recommend that you find another tree. I give it a 3/5 star rating.
71" Classic Cat Tree in Navy Blue

I bought this as a gift for my younger brother and his girlfriend because they adopted a couple of cats that were getting bored in their apartment. They said they loved the rich colour blue, and their cats loved climbing and scratching on it regularly. It made a difference in their cats' behaviour and how much they were clawing up furniture.
Great cat tree

This is the purrfect cat tree for us. Just the right height, just the right width, the "carpet" is very soft, and it was very easy to put together, so my husband says. We have 5 cats and they love it. Have it in the corner of the dinette area which is all windows looking over the back yard so they can watch the birds and get some fresh air. They even sleep on it at night. The round cylinder is rather small and none of them go in that but they like the fort area and all the different layers. Because the layers are staggered, it is very easy for them to get to the different levels, which is one reason why I chose this tree. This tree costs much more on other sites so when I saw this at this price and with free shipping, I ordered it immediately. Am VERY, VERY pleased with it too. Our kitchen is in cobalt blue and this blue tree looks quite attractive there, instead of like a sore thumb.
My kitties love it!!

Purchased for Senior Cat

I purchased this tree specifically for a 10 yr old cat in our rescue. She loves looking out the window and we wanted to give her her own space. She can access the tree without problem and uses all platforms except the very top. This tree is much sturdier than I expected and I am very please with the purchase.

Firstly, I will warn- this is going to get very tl;dr, so I apologize in advance. Within 15 minutes of having it up, 3 of my cats were hopping around, and splaying atop it. I have 10 cats, all indoor, so a tree that several of them actually like = win! In the process of all the jumping, it remained pretty sturdy- wobbled a little when Kero (he's our massive orange tabby) clambered up to the tip-top platform, but otherwise it was very stable. It's also quite pretty. Unless through use the thing gets to look exceptionally raggedy somehow, this is a tree that not only works well size-wise in a large entertaining room, but it looks good! I may well need another one later, to replace the raggedy carpet-clad model that they love, but is a total eyesore (and because it can't be disassembled, is a complete agony to clean.) Which is another point in its favour, one that's easy to overlook- it can be taken apart to be cleaned or stored. My mate is military, so we move quite a lot. Last time we moved, we had to leave their favourite tree behind (huge carpeted number made of 2x4s and nails)- just wouldn't fit. This can be pulled apart, moved with ease, and readily provide comforting home scents to my frazzled cats when they're freaking out over their new home. Bloody fantastic. The one huge downside is the little tube bit, and the rope thing are quite small, and really much more suitable for kittens, or petite females than giant neutered males. Mine are only your standard mixed lot, but I imagine anyone with Maine Coons or Norwegian Forest cats would find it disappointing.

Great Cat Tree!

I've owned this tree for at least five years and it still looks great. The sisal rope is frayed in strategic spots, but they are all holding up and the tree is still sturdy. The stairs and rope have been removed as they are worthless. Mouse last 20 minutes as expected.
