This door works great! Easy to operate. Unfortunately, we had to pay to have it professionally installed. The extender piece (which connects the interior to the exterior of the house was too short and there was a fair bit of caulking required, but otherwise, it is a great buy and I would order it again!. This is the second door I've ordered from this company. Living in the mountains I wanted a better dog door that made it hard for rats to enter the house--something the simple flap type allows. The magnetic edges on these doors is too much for rats to get through. Hopefully the company will continue to make these doors. They are worth every penny.. Dee. California. Mon Nov 02 2026

This thing turned out awesome. Worth the price, and I bought extra collar sensors for multiple animals and extra backup batteries. It was fairly straight forward to install. I particularly enjoy the timer feature that I can control from my phone. I can set a “curfew” to allow them to automatically set the door to open and close within a time frame I chose. The app is pretty good, I can control nearly all features from my phone and I can walk up to the door and have control too. The only issue I ran into was a leak inside the floor when it rained, but discovered it was where the door met the extender needed to be siliconed. Everything outside of a house should be siliconed regardless. It’s changed our life!. Georgia. US. Mon Aug 25 2025

Engineered for performance, design, value and extreme reliability, power pet doors are motor driven and activated by a tiny ultrasonic collar. Other electronic pet doors merely unlock a hinged panel, requiring your pet to push it open. That's something that a lot of pets don't like to do. Patented power pet doors open completely under their own power. They feature a translucent door panel made of a new super-strength, bulletproof resin. When your pet approaches, the air-tight panel quickly and quietly powers upward disappearing into the stylish housing. Because the panel moves up and down and does not swing out, it can be mounted in hermetically sealed grooves for air-tight closure. This mounting arrangement makes it impossible for an intruder to kick it out. An automatic dead-bolt locking feature adds a higher level of security to your home. The result is the most secure pet door against intruders and stray animals. Your pets are empowered to come and go as they please. Their animal friends are politely asked to stay out. Power pet doors are completely wind and weather-proof with an air-tight sealing system. Power pet's directional sensing system is pretty amazing as well! The digitally coded signal emitted from your pet's ultrasonic transmitter collar allows the power pet to work almost like magic, opening only when your pet is on a direct approach.

I had to get additional parts to install this, but that's because this is a brick house with two courses of brick. We put it in the wall adjacent to the door, and had someone build separate steps for the dogs, and it's been wonderful!. Wendy. North York, ON. Sat Aug 22 2026

We are renting a condo and our dog had had a dog door out to a big yard for some time, so we wanted to make sure he had some type of way of getting outside. Love the product, just wish it had came with more long rubber seals so we could seal it better. Sealing it up seems to be the only issue. Had to go to hardware store and buy weather stripping a couple times.. Raider's Mom And Dad. San Diego, CA. Sun May 02 2010
