Please measure before purchasing to ensure proper fit. Do not cut off zip ties before installation! I needed a gate tall enough to stop my jumping pets without damaging my walls or making daily life harder. This 61" extra tall pet gate finally solved it. My cats can’t leap over it, and the 1.37" narrow spacing keeps even kittens from squeezing through. I installed it in under using the pressure bolts—no tools or drilling needed. When my hands are full of groceries or laundry, I can still open the gate easily with one hand. The auto-close feature gives me peace of mind, while the 90° stay-open mode makes moving through the house effortless. Strong, secure, and renter-friendly, it keeps my pets safe around stairs, kitchens, and off-limit rooms every day.

Luckily this works for us. But a word of caution for those who have crown molding, I didnt measure from there and we probably should of gotten something thats shorter in width. It comes with an 8 bar (about ~16.5), 3 bar (about ~6.5) and 2 bar (little less than~3.5) extensions so something to keep in mind if you have a spaces in between those measurements. Luckily we can just prop it up on the walls with the 8 bar, we were able to get it to fit snug with a piece of cardboard. So still works for us! Really effective for what we wanted. My partner and I moved in together - he has mid-size dog and I have two cats who are very scared and skiddish. I do love the design of this gate. It’s so tall that my kitties can’t go over, around, through, or under. I even like the way it opens to let me go through, without having to negotiate a bottom rail to trip on. It locks securely and was easily assembled and carefully packed. It’s attractive and exceptionally useful. My only concerns: My doorway was not true. It apparently is a few millimeters wider near the top than bottom, so the center doesn’t meet the same way in the top as bottom. This is not the fault of the gate, so I did not deduct a star. My other concern is that there’s a lot of plastic parts. I wish all the components were made of metal. The Gate appeared sturdy and well-made. However, I ordered the wrong size. I live in an older house with smaller and not-quite-perfectly-rectangular doorways, and unfortunately this gate cannot be adjusted to a size slightly smaller than the minimum size listed, which is apparently what I need. It's hard to find a tall gate with slats thin enough to keep skinny cats out, so I'm disappointed that it didn't fit my doorway, and that it doesn't come in a narrower version! And despite the product appearing to be good quality, the packaging was not: the cheap Styrofoam packaging was already broken into many pieces when I opened the package, which made a mess and also made it difficult to re-pack the product to return.
