This door works great! Easy to operate. Unfortunately, we had to pay to have it professionally installed. The extender piece (which connects the interior to the exterior of the house was too short and there was a fair bit of caulking required, but otherwise, it is a great buy and I would order it again!. The first one was the wrong size. The second came with Bullitt proof glass shattered. The third arrived in good shape. The tape materials ,The peace that goes between the door and window doesn't stick. Fixed it with strapping tape. the other tape materials that go between the pet door and the slider peals, but not between the cotton and the sticky material, but in the cotton. This thing turned out awesome. Worth the price, and I bought extra collar sensors for multiple animals and extra backup batteries. It was fairly straight forward to install. I particularly enjoy the timer feature that I can control from my phone. I can set a “curfew” to allow them to automatically set the door to open and close within a time frame I chose. The app is pretty good, I can control nearly all features from my phone and I can walk up to the door and have control too. The only issue I ran into was a leak inside the floor when it rained, but discovered it was where the door met the extender needed to be siliconed. This is wonderful. Install was easy, I'm told and it's providing my cat with freedom and security. I just ordered the other PET SAFE with the CURFEW ability. I think it's worth spending the extra money in order to have full control over times- for me, it will be daytime outings only. This one will end up not being used, but it works just fine. Three months in with 15# and an 11# cats. Took a few weeks of sweet words, treats and training but they get it now. Recommend full access until your furry friends catch on and for a month or more after before changing schedules. A nice, steady routined smart door and smart feeding system keeps small birds safe and cats safe from large predators. Installed into exterior wall. Time consuming but it was a great option and thoroughly considered. Smaller cats *may* struggle with the door not fully latching and the force required to both push through and slam securely shut for the next pass through. At this price-point I would hope a stronger implanted microchip reader that can read well from both sides is made a priority. The fob is a great backup—had to buy several from another retailer to replace the ones that keep slipping off because the metal is too thin and passes through any and every keychain coiled-type connector. 9.25/10.
