We absolutely love the design and quality of materials. The color is a bit more orange once you open it up. The real issue is the assembly instructions. My wife and are are very hands and have built many things. The main issue is that the order which things are assembled left some big issues towards the end. When I open my coop today it was damaged I paid too much money for this and cannot buy another one I should get some of my money back but if it wasnt for all the damage parts in the missing screws it would be a good coop and I have to use this coop because I have to put my chickens in there. My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. Easy assembly however it does take about 6 hours to but together. There were a few undrilled boards. Also the cover doesn't stay on with windy days with it being Velcro. Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. Impressed with the amount of roosting space plus ground space. I plan on redoing the latches on the roosting boxes as they aren’t the strongest and predators “could” get in or my chickens could get out. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. Simple to assemble. Lots of big pieces. Took less than an hour with me and 2 children. They handed me screws and held boards in place. Seems like good quality and has a metal roof. Two things I didn’t like was no ramp inside the coop and no perch’s for sleeping at night. I can rig something up but that defeats the purpose of buying pre fabricated. A few weeks later the hardware is staring to come loose on the doors and I’ve needed to replace the locking mechanisms. Very easy to put together. Not very sturdy. Locks are not the most secure. There is not any plastic guard on the crease of the egg box to prevent water from entering. The perches are not useful they get knocked over easily and I have removed them. I have 4-6 chickens that use it and they love it. We shall see how it holds up to the winter but it made it well though the Texas heat this summer. For the price I would have preferred better construction. However it is working as needed and doing well thus far. I would recommend only if you are able to have a roof over it to protect it from the elements.. Nicole. TX. Tue Nov 14 2023

We just finished putting our coop together. All items were in the box and labeled. It was a big task putting it together but instructions were easy to follow. The coop is really nice but light weight. Need to stake into the ground. Our chickens are too young to put in there but are excited for that day. This chicken coop features all panels reinforced with wooden corner braces to enhance structural load-bearing capacity. This coop is super cute!!! However it seems to be pretty low quality. The wood is very soft and several of my pieces arrived already split. I would never put 8-10 full size chickens in this, maybe 8-10 bantam size. I’m thinking it will only last a year or two. I just got it to put my baby chicks in so it will work for now.. Anonymous.
