The chicken coop is a great product, perfect for beginners and experienced chicken owners alike! The construction was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. It took about 4 hours to build. It would be perfect for a backyard. The run is small so I wouldn’t have more than 6-10 chickens if you’re not planning to free range. We will free range so I would be comfortable housing more in there. It is convenient height for collecting eggs and cleaning out waste. The large chicken coop comes with a chicken run and has two large nesting boxes. The chicken house has four perches with large removable sliding trays for easy cleaning. There are six access points for easy access to all areas of the coop. Features three ventilation windows in the sleeping area to keep it well ventilated. I made quite a few modifications to make this coop more useful. I used strong magnets across the top so we could reach into the run. We added stair tread to the roost ramp so our ladies didn’t slip around anymore. I’d planned to use a solar door opener to let the gals in and out, but I was one day over the 30 day return window and Wayfair wouldn’t let me return it even for store credit. Okay! SO- first time chicken owner here. We live in Maryland and are raising chicks and ducks from babies. We live in the woods and therefore have a ton of natural predators. The coop on its own is not SUPER sturdy, but not the worst quality I have seen and works well for a yard that slopes. There are some gaps, so we enclosed the top and bottom with hardware mesh stapled into the wood and secured with cement blocks just to be sure everything would be safe, and so far so good! The cover seems like it will be reasonable for the raincolder temps. Used Wayfair assembly service, which was good but it did take 3 men four hours to assemble just FYI. Overall, happy!. Anonymous. Easy assembly however it does take about 6 hours to but together. There were a few undrilled boards. Also the cover doesn't stay on with windy days with it being Velcro. Severely overpriced, flimsy, and poorly built — arrived damaged and required major fixes I rarely leave reviews, but this one needs a warning. This coop is extremely low quality for the price. Multiple pieces arrived already cracked or split (see photos), including structural supports. I had to repair them myself with wood glue just to continue assembly. The wood feels like the cheapest, softest material possible—it splits easily and does not hold screws well. During assembly, several components didn’t fit properly, and I actually had to unscrew and rip apart factory-glued sections (including parts of the nesting box) just to reassemble them in a way that would hold. As designed, some sections would not have supported themselves long-term. On top of that, I ended up having to add multiple of my own screws throughout the structure just to get this thing to feel even remotely stable. That should not be necessary on a brand-new product at this price point. The fit and finish is poor across the board: • Panels don’t align cleanly • Gaps of ¼ inch or more in the roof required me to caulk multiple areas to prevent rain from getting inside • Pre-assembled sections are crooked or weak And honestly, I can’t believe this is marketed as suitable for outdoor use. Without the extra repairs and sealing I did, this thing would not hold up to basic weather exposure. The instructions are also rough—unclear in places and missing steps entirely, which made the process more frustrating than it needed to be. A couple other notes: • The color is misleading. It’s not gray and white as advertised—it’s just gray and slightly lighter gray • Overall structure feels flimsy and unstable, not something I’d trust long-term without reinforcement At this price point, I genuinely wish I had just bought the materials and built something myself—it would have been stronger, cheaper, and less frustrating. I would return it, but disassembling this thing and getting it back into three boxes would be a huge hassle. Bottom line: This is significantly overpriced for what you get.
