This human dog bed is HUGE! Plenty large enough for myself and two small dogs. Right now it's being used for a recovery bed for our little frenchie after her surgery and she loves it. It arrived wrapped in a lot of plastic and once unwound it quickly expands to full size. The pillow is decent quality and comfort but the blanket is rather cheap only being fur on one side and a unfinished rough backing on the other side. I assume the underside of the fabric is the same that the bed is covered with, which is thick and substantial- so hopefully it will last for some time. I purchased a bag of (Green)XL pottie pads nearby had to put 2 pads out because there weren’t wide enough or long enough. I was very disappointed that they claimed these were XL. Pups still missed the pads several times. I then decided to order (Blue) X-Large Puppy Training Pads by Tucker Murphy Pet. These ARE XL! They are wider longer I only have to put 1 pad out I inherited 2 adult pups that aren’t quite potty trained because of their parents working longshiftwork hours. This bed is OK - good but not great. The cover is made from a nice soft comfortable fabric and seems well-made, with good even stitching. It has a zipper so it can go in the washer too. There's no non-skid backing, and it's so lightweight you can expect it to slide around, but that means you can flip it over and have a new "top" if normal wear & tear starts to show. The padding is the same poly-fill that you find in medium priced human bed pillows. This filling will inevitably flatten and "bunch" over time, and I don't recommend it for older dogs or those with arthritis. Or, heavy dogs who will flatten it quickly. It's made with baffles running within the interior of the padding to combat "bunching", but, because they're not offset, they create breaks in the pad. There is access to the padding via a zipper, allowing you to go in and "fluff" occasionally, so you do have some control.
