I used this in a remodel of an 1880's Victorian in San Francisco. The medallion was lightweight, detailed and usable. With some of the medallions it was necessary to flatten the back to get it to mount flat on the ceiling, and the center hole sometimes is not sized for mounting a fixture with a standard ceiling box (I don't remember if this medallion had these issues or not). Ceiling was not level and there was a substantial spacing between bell canopy of fan and ceiling. The two piece medallion allowed me to cut the medallion to the size of the canopy and retrofit the system to eliminate the unsightly gap between the ceiling and the canopy of the fan.. Anonymous.
