I thought the black shades had yellow metal inside, but they are fully black. This actually turned to advantage as they reflect any color light bulb you put inside. I needed an inexpensive light fixture for a bathroom makeover. I wanted gold with four lights to make the bathroom much brighter than the two light builder grade fixture I was replacing. This one fit what I was looking for and went up really easy. The instructions were not very thorough though. We’ve replaced many light fixtures though so it was no problem. If you haven’t hung a light fixture before, you’ll need to find instructions for wiring before you attempt to hang as these did not explain anything like that.
