We purchased 3 different medallions to look at them in person. decide on one return the rest. They were so gorgeous we couldn’t choose readily, but have a couple light fixtures we can use them with. So we kept them all. Love them. Only recommendation is check where the light fixture attaches to the electrical box. Some medallion style are not deep so may not cover up fixture side screws.. Dab. This ceiling medallion added an element of historic design to my renovation. Note that the bluish areas in the photo are actually cut out, and when installed, your ceiling will show through in those spots. Center area around the opening is thicker than the edges. I changed out the light plate cover to a deeper profile. Applied easily with construction adhesive and temporarily held in place with tape till the adhesion dried. This is my second purchase for this specific medallion- it is small but works in compact spaces like closets and entryways. I really like it because I use faux styrofoam ceiling tiles to cover ugly ceilings after scraping popcorn texture (and to avoid drywall repair and re-texturing). Really added that final touch to the new light we installed and it helped cover the old electrical box location that was not centered to the table. Make sure to add some blocks of wood behind the empty parts of the medallion so as to not crush it when tightening down the fixture. Also light sand before painting to help the paint adhere.. James.
