I got a track light for my kitchen when I had it remodeled. The guy who put the light up said he couldn't get it to fit tight to the ceiling so I bought a two piece medallion, got some adhesive and put it up. It was a smaller medallion so I didn't even need to use screws to get it to stay up. Not only does it cover the opening around the base of the light but it dresses up my ceiling. I did it myself with ease. Thanks for a great product and because it is two piece I didn't need to mess with the electricity.. Tristan B. Wed Sep 01 2010

Really added that final touch to the new light we installed and it helped cover the old electrical box location that was not centered to the table. Make sure to add some blocks of wood behind the empty parts of the medallion so as to not crush it when tightening down the fixture. Also light sand before painting to help the paint adhere.. James. 24" square medallion, it's 3/4" thick. The inner opening for a light fixture base is 8-3/8". This photo shows the medallion just after installation and painting. Before painting I added texture with paintable caulk and let it dry overnight. I wanted it to look like it's been there all along. I attached the medallion to the ceiling using strong glue and a couple of screws, then caulked all the seams. Electricians will do a complete re-wire so the danglers you see are not hot. I may add another photo here when all is complete.. Dimi. Northfield, MN. Sun Nov 24 2024
