It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. UPDATE Fan is now installed on the ceiling. Looks very nice, but power is not yet hooked up to it so I have not yet been able to run it or turn the light on. The fan appears well made fan blades are actual real, solid wood and are very nice quality - no painted fake finish here. The surround that covers the motor is metal and nicely made. It fits flush against the ceiling. The fan also comes with a remote that controls both the fan and the LED light and you can change the color tone and brightness of the light. So I am looking forward to getting this light installed and will update my review then with new pictures and feedback on the fan operation. I think it’s going to look beautiful in my bedroom!.
