They’re definitely not scratch resistant when you’re cutting up your spaghetti and especially a steak. One did crack in half in the dishwasher somehow but they are super cute. They say black but they’re actually more like a chocolate brown and be aware that the mugs have no handles so you can’t NOT have a hot beverage because you will get burned as I’ve unfortunately found out the hard way..
