It is what it is. I was expecting a a little heavier piece. It’s crazy light. I guess solid wood means something different than it used to mean. It’s made of 12” and 14”plywood with some solid wood trim. At least it’s not particle board. The hinges are not soft close so the doors slam shut. The storage cabinet came very quick. It was packed well. I was especially happy to see that it had all pieces and nothing was damaged. I was a little concerned at how light the item seemed. We loved the fact that there wasn’t a lot of pieces to put in to be able to screw the parts together. Just good ole fashioned screws! It looks exactly like the description and even though it’s not heavy at all, (which I like), it is very sturdy and well made. It has a very high end look. It doesn’t look like it is very big but storage wise, it is! I have about 70 pint sized jars of food I canned in mine and still have a whole shelf and a piece left!
