The chairs themselves are really nice. They have a unique, chic look. The green is more olive in real life, and it looks beautiful. The fabric is soft but seems durable, and the seat and backrest are comfy and plush. However, the assembly was wildly frustrating, to the point where I have to take off a star. The metal bracingfoot rests don’t line up well with the holes on the chair legs, and it took me 90 minutes to force the screws in. These bar stools are very mid century modern retro.  From the curved wood legs and arm chair lines to the blue chenille fabric shell back seat, all around gives that mid century vibe.  The directions on how to put them together were not in the box, but thankfully it was very easy to figure out.   I purchased these as an open box item and I could be happier about the deal I got and the quality of the stools.  They were brand new and looked like they had never been opened.  They are very stable and comfortable.  I was a bit concerned with how firm the seat was to begin with, but after a week of use the seat is starting to give enough to feel comfortable.  The seat backs were comfortable from the very beginning.  The swivel is very smooth and swivels a fil 360.  Overall I am thrilled with this purchase and very happy I got them at a third of the price. So far I like these. To be fair, no one has spent time sitting on them. They were a very slight pain to assemble while trying to hold all the legs to put the initial screws in. Putting the legs together (first step) was slightly tricky, but every step after went smoothly. The holes for screws are perfectly machined, nicely thought out assembly design. The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool. I received these stools through Wayfair’s tride and true program. Overall, I am very happy and would probably purchase them even for the current retail price (on sale for 183.99) They are even more pretty in person. The walnut wood back shell is gorgeous and so much more rich in person. The photos online show an almost dark espresso brown wood but it is a walnut. The marks on the leather are also different in person, with slightly more lightdark spots and less marbling looking spots like the listing photos. I prefer the in-person leather. The cushion underneath sounds cheap (you can hear the air compressing and some cracking like a cheap foam) but I don’t even care because they are comfy! They were also super easy to put together. These are really sturdy. The legs are wood but they have two metal square pieces that support the legs. Seats are super comfortable.
