I am very pleased with this console table. As mentioned in other reviews, it is pressed board with a laminate overlay, but you get what you pay for. From a distance, it looks very stylish, and the added metal contrast is exactly what I was looking for. The table console is wood but it’s not as “solid” as it states in the description. Assembly was straightforward but many of the pieces were missing number for parts but it was easy enough to figure it out. Nice table, pretty light. My only complaint is the pre-drilled holes were not drilled well so it cracked and shattered the wood. It is a nice looking wood and has a smoked smell to it which is pleasant. It could have been better quality wood but I can work with it. I’ve been very impressed with all the styles from Wayfair, from high end to low end and impressed with the variety and selection. We were searching for a piece made from substantial, authentic materials rather than cheap manufactured wood, and this table exceeded our expectations. The moment you unbox it, you’re greeted by the rich, wonderful smell of real cedar—a fantastic touch that makes the whole room feel fresh and cozy. While it looks like heavy, solid timber, the clever box-framed construction keeps the profile beautifully thick and substantial without making it impossibly heavy to move. The natural grain, knots, and warm stain give it an authentic farmhouse feel that perfectly anchors the room, while the bottom shelf offers great space for decorative baskets. Assembly was the only real hurdle, as it arrived with absolutely no instructions included. Thankfully, my husband's handy build knowledge saved the day, and he was able to put it together without a hitch. If you don't have a builder on hand, figuring out the construction blindly might take a little guesswork. Despite the missing assembly guide, the final product is gorgeous, sturdy, and well worth it. Delivery came within 3 days of ordering. The console is beautiful, my only issue is that there were many areas where the wood was split. It was easy to put together but there are a lot of screws.
