I got the oak and I really like the medium-toned color. It’s close to golden oak without being golden. Still on the warm end. The construction is solid and I’m inpressed with quality for the price. I don’t know what kind of wood it is but it’s, pretty good quality, with some grain to it. I’m using it for a kids corner in the living room with lots of toys. I just which it were 5” taller and offered in a white oak option. I also didn’t find and issue with the open back since this table was against the wall and deep enough that you couldn’t see through the whole for a normal person standing.. Mikayla. I’m really happy with this piece now that it’s built! It is surprisingly sturdy construction for the price. As far as I can tell this is all wood, although some of it is really cheap quality and has splinters or chips. This takes a good amount of time to build, and a couple holes didn’t line up very well. My biggest complaint is that it smelled so strongly of chemicals and has taken about 24 hours with an air purifier to get it to stop smelling.. Robyn. San Diego, CA. Thu Oct 08 2026
