This console came incredibly well packaged, and I put it together in 5 minutes. Just screw the legs together and voila! The wood has weight to it and feels well made. We love the turned legs and feel it compliments our 1907 colonial. We did replace the hardware with a brass star shaped backplate and knobs from tradition hardware because we are not basic.. quality of this was pretty good for the price. I liked that the texture of the wood that is a faux wood, had some grain texture in it. It wasn’t just a flat smooth piece of board. I also liked that the top came as one piece and not two pieces joined with a seam on top. This was extremely easy to put together, huge plus. The package came earlier than expected, so I had to make arrangements for someone to collect it as I was not in town. My one issues was the smell, oh my- this was ROUGH. I’m unsure if it was the chemicals, the packaging, I do not know. But it took about two weeks for the major smell to go away- and that’s with using active charcoal packages, baking soda, vinegar- you name it. The smell is still slightly there when I open the drawers where I continue to keep the active charcoal pouches. Outside of that, I am truly happy with the entry table. It was exactly what I was looking for and the ease of putting it together took less than 20 minutes. It took longer to take it out of the packaging. We bought the console shelf for the front entry. Although it had some defects, overall, it is a beautiful piece. The manufacturer did compensate us 15% for the defects and I was able to fix them myself. It helps that the top is rustic and I was able to hide the marks. Pics are included. The shelving is solid wood and the frame has a modern black finish that works beautifully with the wood. Quality item. I'm using it as a nightstand actually. I would have given it five stars however fedex botched delivery once again and I got it very late. I've ordered so many things from wayfair, and if it's anywhere near a weekend delivery they refuse to admit that they didn't even try to deliver it on the weekend even though they said they couldn't get in my apartment and I wasn't home which was dishonest.
