First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. I would recommend bolting down the legs, I ended up putting lag bolts through the deck floor joists. That thing isn't moving! Overall a very large and solid umbrella, very happy with purchase.. Thus is a superior umbrella. I have used them exclusively for years. The mechanism for lowering and raising it TOTALLY UNIQUE and absolutely superior to anything I've ever seen. There is a lever arm that raises the umbrella with one single move. The canopy can be raised in moments. Same thing for lowering it. Pull the pin and lower the "arm." It's down in moments. No cranks, no ropes, no sliding arms... Nothing. One bar raises and lowers it all with one move. I live in a canyon... and the winds can come up from zero to 40mph in seconds. No exaggeration.
