Very simple assembly, took less than 10 minutes. It's a really neat product that offers a good amount of shade to our back deck. My husband used 4 inch deck screws to secure the base where we wanted it, and instead of purchasing water weights we used 12x12 pavers which fit perfectly and are heavier. All in all a really excellent product!. Susan.r. Falcon, Colorado. Sun May 15 2022
