We received our order. It looked on the line like it was a one solid piece of furniture when we got it. It was in a dozen or more pieces. That is not what we thought we were getting. Maybe I didn’t read it. Good enough I don’t know, and I just assume that all of these gas heaters had blowers Did not have one so now I’m stumped. How do I get a blower in that? The Tahoe 45ol outdoor linear gas fireplace has been built tough to weather whatever the elements can throw at it. This unit allows wood framing and can be installed without a surround, finishing material installed right up to the glass for a simplified modern look, or with the durable 3” stainless steel surround. The unit even comes with a stainless steel cover for protection when not in use. Tahoe 45ol comes with a rock and Black Onyx fire glass media, and a stainless steel frame.

It works fine, but has some serious quality issues. The grate on the top that sits over the coals buckled warped and popped after the first fire. And when my husband was putting it together one of the screw holes wasn’t threaded and he had to finagle it. They offered to send us a new unit but we’d have to dissemble, box and ship the entire thing back. We decided to toss the grate and keep the unit as all the other elements work fine. Pleasant Hearth non-catalytic wood burning stoves will warm your home with highly efficient and effective zone heating. This wood stove will heat up to 1,800 sq. ft. with 74,000 BTUs of heat from the oldest sustainable resource, wood. This unit has been 2020 Phase 2 EPA certified with emissions at 1.89 grams/hr. Also included is an efficient blower to spread the heat around the area. All Pleasant Hearth wood burning stove feature a brick lined firebox, chrome handles, and an air wash system that automatically maintains the cleanliness of the glass window. The front-loading solid cast iron door with large ceramic glass viewing area and stainless-steel ash lip makes it easy to refuel with seasoned cord firewood up to 18 inches long.

For the price of $809 and free shipping this was worth it for me. Having said that, there are issues. The ash drops through a chute BEHIND and underneath the unit. I have not figured out what can be put back there to collect ashes. It will have to be a wide short metal bucket of some type. I think this should have been mentioned and provided or be for optional order. Then there is the ridiculous excuse for an owners/instruction manual. How hard would it have been to expand that just a little...for instance...I do not know what the lever in front underneath the firebox is for...I assume for dropping ash.......then there is the problem of .....is the back position closing up the ash drop, or is the forward position that causes ash to drop? The unit was built in November of 2025 and arrived Dec 15, 2025 but all that notes that on the metal sheet from the back is a dimple in a box, and for the model number. I might have bought a different make of wood stove had I known all the above for $100 more plus the separate purchase of a blower....and all of them seemed to be out of stock. Then there is the metal sheet on the back that has the serial number on it. How hard would it have been to make a copy of that for the owners/instruction manual?. Richard. Marble Falls, TX.
