Bought this chair in Jan 23 after back surgery. Already have swivel recliners so wanted a chair more stationery and half way, not fully reclined. Ordered the blue one but rec'd the coral one. Decided rather than send back, to keep the coral one. The back and forth with Wayfair and the supplier about having to return the coral one because I received the wrong order, prompted me to pursue keeping the coral one - win for both of us: I didn't have to return and they could just send the original blue one. Finally, after much back and forth, they allowed me to keep the coral one. Initially, I measured the chair comparing to the ones I already have. The chair, seating and back is much smaller than I expected, I have to support my head with a pillow to keep my head/neck area aligned. Although I don't think I measured wrong, I'll take take that one. The chair is very firm and in time, it may give a little as at times I can feel the springs. I am a medium sized person, not large sized. Love the material and even the coral blends with many other colors as I'm sure the blue one would have as well. The picture displayed here is an exact replication of what I ordered. If you are a small statured person, this may work for you. I believe it was easy to put together, nothing broken or missing. As I said, I kept the chair, but glad I didn't order the blue one, mainly due to the size. By the way, both reps were friendly; professional and cooperative; gave me their correct contact information and utimately resolved the problem.

This is an exceptionally nice lift chair - especially for the price! It only took a few minutes to put it together by myself (unless you count the "help" I received from the cat). I got this for my dad who wanted a power recliner; the lift part was a bonus. It works well: very quiet with smooth motion. It's especially nice to be able to control the footstool and the back independently. The 'Serengheti Light' fabric looks and feels very nice. It is a greenish-brown color with a subtle leathery pattern and a slight velvety feel. I think it will hold up well. Although a couple reviewers had issues with sliding on the fabric, neither dad nor I have had any problems. This chair compares to most power recliners/lift chairs in the stores. (Like this chair, the footstool on most power recliners could use a couple extra inches of length.) Tall or short, if you plan to sleep in this chair you'll probably want a pillow to keep your head from falling back too far. All in all, I highly recommend this chair as a lift chair or as just a power recliner. It is as good, if not better, than the power chairs they sell in national chain furniture stores for twice as much money. (And most of the furniture stores around here charge $95 or more for local delivery.) Wayfair's delivery was great. Ordered on Tuesday and the chair was delivered on Friday. For free delivery, I didn't mind having the box left at/near the front door.

So I was in the market for 2 chairs for my living room that would give us extra family seating on movie nights and my son aged 10 asked for a recliner. I didn't want to get the large bulky recliner chairs that although comfy look horrible so I wanted a sleek line recliner at a price that reflected I wasn't expecting it to last forever. I also have pets so I wanted a fabric that wasn't going to be a magnet for dog/cat fur. I also didn't want anything huge so these chairs totally fit the bill in all categories. So let me start out by saying that the chairs (I ordered 2) were ordered on a Friday and were at my door on Tuesday morning. I rcvd notifications when it shipped and was due to be delivered. The delivery truck left the boxes at my door (wasn't home). Very efficient shipping system. The box is heavy so by all means have help available to bring the box into your house if you aren't strong. I am no weakling and I struggled a bit with the weight/size of this box. The chair was packed well and had 3 parts in the box: the bottom frame of the chair, the seat back and a box that included the feet of the chair and washers (7 washers as they note you might want to use more than 1 if the chair wobbles, I didn't have to do that but will keep the extra washers handy). I checked the chair thoroughly and there were no marks or tears and the seams were straight. The fabric seems to be of a decent hardy linen type quality, this is good for me as I have 2 boys but if you are looking for a soft fabric this isn't it. It's more of a heavy linen type of fabric. All that has to be done to assemble the chair is to screw in the legs and then turn it over and slide the chair back into place. It took me longer to open the box and check for all parts and damage than to actually assemble it. It took maybe 5 minutes. As soon as I assembled it I sat in it and checked to make sure the recline function worked. I am 5ft 6 inches and found that the top of the chair when reclined meets the bottom of my head so yes for napping you would want to add a pillow. Also the foot rest ended at around my ankles but this is sufficient for me to be plenty comfortable for watching tv. The width is fine and I am not thin. These are not huge chairs but don't look at all out of place against my couches which are regular size. Maybe if you have huge furniture they would but they fit right in to my seating area. I had no trouble extending the foot rest by holding onto the arms and pushing back. If you think that you might want to make it easier, consider spraying a little lubricant on the mechanism while you are assembling the chair and have it upside down. It went back smoothly and I had no trouble returning it to upright position. I did this several times with no problem at all. The back is slightly reclined when upright but I don't think I would have any trouble sitting in the chair and reading, it's not that far back at all. Ok so the things I would point out is that the color Grey is much more like a light taupe color which is fine for me because I really just wanted a neutral but if you are looking for a true grey, this isn't it. Also, the bottom back of the chair has just a fabric cover that is attached to the frame by Velcro. After you put on the back of the chair you pull down the fabric and it Velcros to the bottom. My chairs (I bought 2) are up against a wall but I would not like this at all if they were going to be used in the open where people could see the back. Further if you are like me and have pets, cats in particular, I can totally see my cats making their way inside that fabric as the bottom is secure but the sides are not (no Velcro on side). I am going to purchase more Velcro and attach it to the sides of the fabric on back so they can't get inside the chair. See my picture. With that inexpensive addition I think it will be fine. Last point is that the seat cushion is attached so you can't just pop it off to add more cushion down the line if it flattens. Something to think about. Lastly, I bought a can of Scotchguard Fabric Protector and sprayed both chairs lightly twice to repel dirt and stains. The can cost about 7 dollars, well worth it for some peace of mind on movie nights. I have done this with other furniture in the past and it is well worth it and does keep stains from setting in. For overall comfort and a sleek look at the price I paid I am very happy. I will add some cute throws and a few pretty pillows and I think they will look great. And my boys ages 10 & 13 will now have their own recliners to use on movie night so their dad & I can have the couches back :)

I was so nervous about purchasing a chair I couldn't sit in before buying it, however this one had the color, style and price point I was looking for. After vacillating for a few weeks I went ahead and ordered this chair for my nursery. It shipped very fast, unboxing and assembly was super easy even with my 7 months preggo belly. It came in 2 pieces, the base and seat back, which slid easily onto the brackets at the back of the seat base. Things I love: It's firm but VERY comfortable and as it gets more use I would imagine it will only get more comfortable. The glide is quiet and very smooth. It swivels 360 degrees easily. I am 5'5" and the seat back is the perfect height to rest my head on and I have no trouble reaching the floor. Material has great color and texture. It feels like a quality fabric that will hold up well over time. Things to consider: The arms might be a bit low for comfortable newborn nursing height, but with a nursing pillow I doubt it will be an issue. There is a slight recline to the seat back, I was concerned it might be too much, but it is very comfortable to sit in and I had no trouble getting out of the chair even with a big pregnant belly. The bottom (back) of this glider is VERY close to the ground, it doesn't hit the ground but with a long pile carpet or rug it does create a bit of contact friction, not enough to hinder the swivel or glide, but just a slight drag. This could be avoided with a short pile rug or hardwood floors. I ordered the gray color and was surprised by the amount of contrast in the fabric. It looks great, but it was a bit unexpected since the listing doesn't show an up close image of the fabric. I purchased it on sale for about $250 and think it was a great buy, especially with the free shipping. Overall I am really pleased with the purchase of this chair and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small, stylish but COMFORTABLE chair.

I went back and forth between a few gliders and I’m so happy I decided on this one. It has the modern look I wanted. The cream color is beautiful. Its the perfect neutral color. I am a little nervous about stains so I will probably scotch-guard it. I did get something on the ottoman. A little bit of rubbing alcohol on a paper towel got it right out. Our nursery is very small and this glider fits perfectly. It doesnt take up a lot of space, but it doesnt feel small either. Im 5’ 7”, 190lbs, and 35 weeks pregnant. Its so comfortable. Not too firm, not too soft. Easy to get in and out of. The armrests look narrow, but it doesnt affect the way your arms or elbows rest. It’s the perfect height, I’m able to lean my head back. My husband is 5’ 8” and about 200lbs. He’s very happy with it also. After the nursery, it will most likely move to the living room. I seen a couple complaints about the ottoman being stationary. Personally I think it makes it easier to rock while having your legs stretched out or feet up. I have sat in the gliders where the ottoman glides and for me it was frustrating. I didn’t feel like I had control of the speed or how quickly I was able to stop. This ottoman is easy to push out the way without tipping over. With the glider being able to swivel, it’s easy to get up that way also. When swiveling side to side I can feel the grinding others were talking about if I’m leaning back, but it’s so faint I hardly notice. The lumbar pillow is a nice touch. I like it with or without. The rocker came assembled, well packaged with plastic over it and the ottoman. My husband and I were able carry it inside and slide it out the box with ease. Both the ottoman and rocker are sturdy.

THE GOOD: The front-back rocking function is perfectly smooth and the chair back is high. For reference, the height of the back from the cushion to the top listed for the chair (24.25") is a vertical measurement, but the back of the chair is at a slant, so it is actually longer than the listed height. I measured with a measuring tape, and it is closer to 27", which is great for my husband and I because we are both tall (I am 5'9" and my husband is 6'1"). I love the fabric, but I am a person who hates microfiber. The color is a little blue to my eye, and I think it is soft and high quality. Other reviewers mention having trouble staying in the reclined position - this is not an issue at all for us. The foot rest is difficult to put down as others have noted, particularly to get it to lock into place, but this is not something that bothers us and I wouldn't say it is especially more difficult than other recliners I have sat in. My husband thinks the chair comfort is OK, not the best and not the worst. I think it is comfortable. We looked at chairs in person ranging from $500 - $2000 and both my husband and I agree the comfort of this chair competes with those and beats most. This chair is high quality and an excellent value. THE BAD: I was really expecting to give this chair 5 stars, but I have to go with 4 because I am disappointed with the "swivel" function. It's not smooth like I was hoping. It takes a bit of effort to get it to swivel from side to side, and there is sort of a vibration or grinding noise when you swivel. It is not loud, but it is there. Our chair wasn't handled very well in shipping (the box had clearly marked "this side up" labels on the package but arrive on it's side and beat up) so I thought maybe it got damaged, but we flipped the chair over and looked at the mechanism and nothing is bent or out of place. I did rotate the swivel base back and forth repeatedly while it was flipped over, and this seemed to help, so maybe it will become less stiff with time. But bottom line, the swivel is not as smooth as I was hoping, especially compared to the front-back rocking function which is perfectly smooth.

This is a handsome piece! Excellent workmanship and is at a great price. All of the positions are firm to place, no shifting at all. It’s not a deep navy, but the tone is rich; it blends well with our navy drapes, a multi-colored striped sofa, and our rug with navy/crimson and cream/green tones. Trust me; we scoured each section well for defects - the stitching is straight and even, the material is taunt and without excess anywhere! The realization that we might need to ship it back in the original container was looming in our minds during this details madness which involved preserving the box. What a relief! After three weeks of daily use (by all of us), we find that the seat cushion retains it’s shape. We range from 5’2”-5’8” and we’re all comfortable. We did wonder about seat pitting from the beginning because of the sale price. That “funny noise” it made (the little ones enjoyed the giggles), from the material friction, has tremendously lessened. The motor is totally quiet!! Two features we wished were different: 1). the side pocket is nicely deep, but is on one side and sits low, which makes retrieval of the control a bit tricky for shorter arms. 2). the control isn’t weighted although the chord length is fine. So, we loop the control chord over a scroll feature on a side table for easy access. We’ve adjusted to the reality that there’s no swift upright-position override for these chairs for safety reasons. We’re thrilled to have found this chair after long searches through more bulky types.

I was looking for a chair for my mom she is elderly, she is very hard on our furniture. MY hubby put this chair together, It came in 2 parts. He didn't have too much trouble figuring it out. There's no lever or button to push, it works by good ole fashioned muscles and a little push off or leaning back in the chair. Someone wrote in another review, that they don't recommend it for older ones, I get that. My mom has cognitive issues and she is a little short as when she sits down her feet are not flat on the floor however, it took her a couple of tries to connect the dots along with a couple of reminders on how to recline the chair. She has worked it out now for herself so that she can sit down and recline it in one motion. The chair is wing backed, reminds me a bit of the seats when you fly economy class, I always find them uncomfortable for long sleeps. The seat is deep and the the back is high. You have a comfy sit and nestle in the chair. I give it 4 stars only because, sometimes, I feel the arms will give eventually, sometimes my 7 year old tries to sit with me in the chair and I can slightly feel the arms move outward. For now the chair is good and it's a comfortable firmness. I bought the Navy Blue Polyester blend--I would say it's not a true Navy Blue, it's got light undertones of teal in it but my living room is scattered with elements of Navy Blue all around along with some other items in teal and other blue shades, to be honest it goes very well with the color scheme. The fabric quality is ok for polyester. My mom falls into the seat when she sits down nothing feels like it's going to just tear. We have had it for little over 3 months. Overall we are happy with our purchase and highly recommend.

We bought 2,! and I didnt know what to expect spending about 250 for this, and ordering from on-line and never sitting in it - but I am very happy so far, one week in! They are very comfy and did not have a strong odor. My husband put together both on his own in under 10 minutes (reading directions help!). They arrived in large boxes so if you need to transport them updown stairs you will need 2 people, otherwise they can be pushed by 1 person. Two things of importance to note 1) I Didnt realize is that they dont come with a locking mechanism when you recline back - so you have to position yourself just so, or the back slides up. Its not completely annoying but had I known to look for that I might have opted for one that stays in place once you recline. 2) My other concern is the recliner handle. Nothing has happened yet, but it is a cheap plastic spring handle. If you end up purchasing, I would advise to open carefully every time to decrease the likelihood of it breaking. The footrest pops open very quickly. Note this chair sits narrow and short - for those over 5 11 your head will go over the back. My husband is 6 2 over 250 lbs and sits comfortably, but if you are on the larger side and want extra room maybe pick something else. Me plus my two lap dogs gets a little crowded. The arm cushions are zippered on, but you cannot tell or see the zipper. The fabric is soft and comfortable. Overall I am very pleased at the price and quality of this recliner!

My 70 year old husband was able to put each chair together in about 20 minutes. The back legs don’t tighten very well so as we moved them to get them where we wanted them, we’d have to rescrew the legs. This may or may not be a minor annoyance. As for the size of the chair, they are firm and supportive but comfortable and with a pleasant amount of lumbar support. I am 5’ 11” 180 lbs and fit well. This is something I stressed over as so many of the chairs were shorter backs. I think my legs are longer than my torso. The chairs are easy to push back into either recliner position and the footrest provides a nice high elevated position. The first is good for watching TV or reading, the second for napping. There is room to lay my head back but I’ll probably use a neck pillow when I want to really relax since the chair doesn’t really offer support in that area. I’m not noticing a strong smell that someone mentioned but I’m leaving the window open the air it out anyway. The dark blue is not quite navy, but a rich pleasant color, although is borders on being a bit of a rough woven fabric. For the price, if the chair lasts 5 years I’ll be happy. I did buy the 5 year insurance to be safe. The tacks are not strips but individually put in place and seem to be well afixed. I’m sitting in the chair while writing this and nothing unpleasant comes to mind. So unless the chairs fall apart on their own with the mild use 2 adults will give them I’m pretty satisfied. I think the best part is the push back feature. I refuse to buy a chair with a clumsy noisy lever. Fat Sophie seems to approve too. It’s nearly perfect. If they offered a chair with nicer fabric and a bit of neck support and already put together without the issue with the back legs I’d give it 5 stars and be willing to pay a bit more.
