Seem very heavy duty. I have a fiend that is pushing 300lb and visits regularly, none of my chairs held up to him. These will. Very basic finish workmanship is on par with the price. If you wanted to you could sand re stain and shellac them making them look much more expensive. I am happy with my purchase. They were easy to assemble for me even the the instructions are not very detailed, you must look carefully at the drawings to make sure your orienting things the correct way. First chair took about an hour with unpacking and organizing. Second chair took about 20 min. Don't use impact tools on any bolts that go into the pressed in nuts. 1 star, but only because there’s no lesser option. Quality is extremely poor, it is questionable whether or not this genuine leather is actually genuine or a complete misuse of that word. Additionally the sizing was either mis labeled or miscalculated to a degree that cannot be qualified as a mistake: these counter stools were actually much larger than standard bar stools. Packaged poorly, damaged in transit and very probably prior to transit, color irregularities among the set of four, and here’s my favorite part: what was a quick-ship product guaranteed to arrive the first week of May, actually arrived the second week of July. While Wayfair was not particularly apologetic or helpful, they did half heartedly promise that I could have a refund a few times over the course of 2,5 months. As if I wouldn’t seek one out anyway. But now on to the battle to recoup the $200 restocking fee. Yes, you read that correctly. Somebody has got a perfect combination of moderate brain damage and huge balls if they’re trying to legitimize keeping any money from this ridiculous exchange. Adapted from an antique African chieftain seat (19th century, Cameroon). Overhanging front and back rails are scooped in a descending curved fashion for comfort.
