The chair mat arrived today in perfect condition and my grandson and I installed it because it’s a little bit on the heavy side about 140 pounds but we got it in place and put the little feet on the bottom of it and I’ve been sitting on my office chair for about half an hour, and I can move it very easily where when I sat on the carpet for half an hour, the office chair was about impossible to move because it had sunk down and I have not flush carpet, but I have fairly thick carpet and a fairly thick foam pad underneath so this is absolutely perfect and I give it five stars and if I had 10 stars, I’d give it 10 stars. The 1/2" x 40" x 54" chair mat, for carpet works pretty well. It stays put which is really nice. My chair doesn't sink into it making it hard to roll after sitting in it for a while and it looks pretty nice, too. I do wish it was another four to six inches wider, but the 54" length is good for my desk. For my purpose a mat that was 46" x 60" would be perfect. The material on the top side, does show where the mat folds in the middle. Optimally this would not show, but it's a pretty minor complaint.. Albert. Sparks, NV. Tue Aug 18 2026

This heavy-duty tempered glass chair mat from Modern Chair Mat Co. combines expert craftsmanship with top-grade materials to create a product that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. Constructed of ¼” thick safety glass, the mat is rated to hold over 1,000 pounds. The smooth, scratch-resistant surface offers user improved ergonomics versus plastic and vinyl alternatives, plus the glass mat will not crack, curl, or discolor. A proprietary ShockShield bumper system is included with every chair mat. Once (optionally) installed, the soft bumpers keep the mat firmly in place and provide advanced protection again incidentally dropped objects. Choose between two edge types, including the exclusive Taper-fect edge, which allows users to roll on and off the chair mat with ease. Also choose between two colors, including the advanced Ultra-Clear color, which eliminates the slight green tint associated with standard tempered glass. The chair mat works well on hardwood, tile, low-pile carpet, and high-pile carpet.

It was a little small but I can make it work. I wanted something to save my new floor. It will do until I can get a bigger one. I love Wayfair. They make their products affordable.. Lenda. League City, TX. Mon Sep 01 2025
