I ordered these chair mats recently and was a little surprised that they felt pretty cold when they arrived. If you’re ordering during the winter, I’d recommend letting them sit at room temperature for a while before unrolling them. Once they warmed up and I followed the instructions, they flattened out without any issues. So far they’ve been working really well. My chair glides smoothly on the carpet now, which is a big improvement from before. They also look nice and are easy to wipe clean, so maintenance has been simple. My home.office is in a furnished basement with floor tiles from the 50s. I first got a regular plastic mat. That thing drove me crazy by always moving out of place and curling up. I recently updated my desk so I started to look for alternatives to the old school rubber mats. So glad I found this. It has a backing underneath that keeps it in place. I am using this on an LVP floor. The problem has always been that mats don't stick to this flooring. This mat moves a little, but is much better than anything else I have tried. Wow! This was a fabulous gift for my husband who works from home but his office chair has now scraped up a section of our hard wood floors.
