Stunningly beautiful. Heavy, sturdy. Some say the drawers are sticky, but it is wood rails. (So expected) Rub a bar of soap on the rails about once a year and it will slide easily. I’m surprised and delighted at how heavy it is. Wayfair white glove delivery drivers were as friendly and courteous as can be. The box it came in had very little scuffs for traveling across the country. No damage of item. Nicely finished, solid bench; fits perfectly in my small mudroom. The finish was important to me as it will be clearly seen from the open doorway off the great room and this did not disappoint. It's not comfortable for long-term sitting, but I was looking for something that would allow me to change shoes going into or out of the house, especially in inclement weather, so it works well in my small space. I have salivated over this piece for years, and finally decided to take the plunge and treat myself to the fulfilment of a dream come true. I am so pleased with this piece of furniture art, that every time I pass by it, it brings a great big smile to my night or day. If I am lost in thought at the time of walking by it, its beauty simply stuns me back into reality. I absolutely love this and hope to leave it to my grandson when I die; I don't know but how he too would love to own such a well thought out treasure of pure craftsmanship.
