Simple and chic, the Marquise bed defines basics made beautifully. An understated silhouette is transitional and timeless, making this an ideal and enduring choice for any master suite. Handcrafted from solid pine and high-quality polyester foam, the plush upholstery adds elegance to any home.
I ordered this bed in the "Duck Gray" and was surprised to see it was a much lighter grey than the photo online. It's still a nice gray, but more of a light grey than a mid tone gray. Also the fabric looks more like a canvas linen than a true linen.
The headboard fabric is not sewn directly onto the headboard, it is a slipcover that you slide over the headboard. At first I was annoyed but then I thought - well at least I can get it dry cleaned when it gets dirty - so it works out well.
The bed took about an hour and a half to put together (with 2 people) but it's made well so it's very sturdy and was easy to assemble. It does have a sort of chemical smell to it, but I imagine that will go away with time. It also arrived 10 days sooner than originally anticipated which was a huge plus.
Overall I'm happy with this purchase.. Star. Los Angeles, CA. Fri Apr 15 2016
