These are great and very comfortable! If I had one criticism it would be to ignore the instructions when it says to tighten the legs to the foot rail to 100%. Definitely put all screws in (legs to seat and legs to foot rail) at 50%, then align and tighten the legs to the seat to 100% BEFORE you tighten the foot rail..otherwise you will not be able to align the chair legs in a way that minimizes the gaps between the parts, creating pinch points for fingers when scooting in your chair. These bar stools are exactly what I was looking for! They’re the perfect 30-inch height for my home bar and have a really nice, sturdy feel to them. The metal construction is surprisingly solid. Unlike some metal stools that feel lightweight or hollow, these have a good weight to them and don’t feel flimsy at all. The black finish looks great, and the backrest is strong enough to comfortably lean against without feeling unstable. Assembly was incredibly easy, requiring only six screws per stool. As far as comfort goes, the wooden seat is flat and firm, so I wouldn’t consider these particularly comfortable for extended periods. However, that’s exactly how they’re advertised, so I can’t really fault them for that. I purchased seat cushions separately, and that made all the difference. Overall, these are well-built, sturdy, and attractive bar stools that deliver exactly what they promise. With the addition of a cushion, they’re perfect for my home bar.
