I use a crockpot/slow cooker every week for easy meals on the days I have to work. I really like this slow cooker. I love that the lid has a rubber lining. When you place the lid on the slow cooker it doesn't bang around and it achieves a great seal. My old slow cooker would burn things on a low setting, this slow cooker actually cooks food on low like it's supposed to! I love that the insert of the slow cooker comes out, for easy washing. I really like that the lid has a lock on the top. It would make transporting the slow cooker so easy. You wouldn't have to worry about spills on the way to your destination. I had another version of this slow cooker that I gave to my son when I replaced it with a crock pot. I HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER WEST BEND SLOW COOKER. I love the way you can start it on the stove for browing pot roasts and braising other meat & vegetable dinners. I have since given the crock pot away and it will never be replaced! I love this slow cooker. It has a sleek, modern design that looks great on the counter. It has a "keep warm" setting so the slow cooker automatically switches to warm when it's done. What makes this one better is that it doesn't dry out the food. I chopped up two raw skinless, boneless chicken breasts for chicken and veggie soup and it didn't dry out the meat; the Rival Slower Cooker that switches to warm has a tendency to dry out the chicken. I have used this slow cooker a few times and the results have been fantastic. The oval shaped insert makes it perfect for a turkey breast or roast-if you are looking for a new slow cooker you want the oval shape instead of the round as certain cuts of meat may not fit in there. The only downside was that the item description says it comes with a retractable cord and that is not the case. Other than that, I absolutely love this product."..."  Read more
