Works well for mostly used items. I wish I had of gotten the dark grey instead of stone color. I definitely need a bigger one for holding totes. This worked out well for our needs. Definitely not a one-person assembly job as some pieces either didn't align exactly right or needed someone else to hold pieces together so they could be attached. The holes in the door don't align very well so it's hard to attach a small lock to keep the door from swinging outward. Everything was labeled and the instructions (mostly pictures with directional arrows) were easy to follow enough. If you can assemble Lego sets, the assembly instructions were about the same method. Yes, you need a floor. Do measure the space before buying and cutting (tip - HD will give you one free cut on the giant board. Having it in two pieces makes it much easier to install inside). We also needed a ladder to assemble the roof. It is a bit flimsy though it worked well for us as we installed this in the small space between the house and fence, nestled up against another part of a fence that does not open. I ordered the shed in grey…it arrived on time and my handyman and I put it together in about 4 hours. It was a bit overwhelming but I am happy with the result. The floor was not very sturdy but my handyman solved that by putting treated wood below it and now it is very sturdy. In addition we used the hardware included and drilled it into the concrete slab we made for it to stand on. I purchased this for my umbrella cockatoo so he would have a sizeable space outdoors. I knew I would be changing out the screen that came with the shed to a fencing more appropriate for a large parrot. I was able to easily modify it for my needs and it has been great for my cockatoo. He loves the space and it has held up to his destructive nature. It took 2 people all day to put it together, but that was largely because there are a ton of screws for this. Note, I am an engineer, so please take the following comments bearing that in mind. Rankings of each category are 1-5 Stars. 1) Overall quality (5*). The finished product is great. After reading numerous reviews of sheds that are too flimsy and not weather resistant, this one seems well designed, durable (steel) and capable of keeping out light to moderate rain. However since it's made of steel, rust may be an issue in time . 2) Price per Sq. ft. (4.5*). Note: the 8' x 6' dimension is an exterior dimension. The interior is slightly less, however this it typical of this type of shed. Based on other sheds I've seen and read about, not having the same quality, this one matches up nicely. 3) Ease of assembly. (4*). Plan on two people over two days (average). It will require some ladder work, but not a lot. All pieces are light enough to be lifted by one person. Each piece is clearly identified. The instructions match the assembly procedure fairly well (mostly pictorial - good!). At times you really have to study the instructions (pictures) and the pieces involved, otherwise you may error and need to remove / redo a section. Helpful tip: Take all of the parts out, if possible, and inventory them prior to starting assembly. Group parts with similar assembly codes together. Great at first cute, nice feel, beautiful wood texture, but its cheap and poorly produced. Because the wood is very sensitive and not strong, it starts to wobble after you move it around a couple of times, or just after a couple years - especially if you dont empty it first before mixing. Patience is a virtue - I was able to put this shed together by myself in about 10 hours. Picture instructions were 90% adequate however there were some steps I had to really focus on the drawings to determine where the pieces fit - inside/outside position grooves. Some of the screw instructions were not as clear as I would have liked. Definitely use a drill to help screws go in cleanly and keep closer to the outer edges to ensure screws actually go into walls. Having a second pair of hands during the wall & roof installation would have been less taxing physically. Screws for door hinges have no spares and as 2 of the 24 provided did not fit really well and I ended up stripping one of them and the other was only able to tighten half way I would have like the floor to be a bit firmer than it is. And the sizing is more 4.5 ft x 2.5 ft which was a bit of let down as I wanted to fit my current shelving units on both sides. I also would have liked a middle roof bracket to give it more stability for the door opening, plus I think it would have helped make the roof installation a bit easier.. Christine. North Saanich, BC. Overall, we're happy with the shed, but there are a few things buyers should know. The box arrived without any obvious damage, yet about 25% of the metal panels were bent. Thankfully, none were bad enough to prevent assembly, but the dents are noticeable both inside and outside. One pleasant surprise was the instruction manual. It was actually well written and easy to follow—something we don't say often! That said, the advertised 3-hour assembly time with two people isn't realistic. My husband and a friend who works in construction spent about 6 hours over two days putting it together, and they're both experienced. The finished shed is a nice size and seems sturdy overall. The pergola/overhang is smaller than it appears in the product photos, and one design flaw is that the middle of the side wall sags slightly because there's no horizontal support across that section. Time will tell how it holds up to South Florida heat, rain, and wind, but so far we're cautiously optimistic.
