A specialty ironing center with a sleek design, the IAW-42 features a 42-inch fixed position ironing board inside a wood cabinet crafted with unmatched quality. When access inside studs is problematic, this model is intended to be surface mounted directly to a stud in the wall. This unit can also fit between the studs for a custom, recessed mounting providing a flush or nearly flush appearance depending upon installation (Blum Hinges required -- sold separately). The IAW-42 is designed and crafted with the same quality materials as other Iron-A-Way models without hot iron and is ideal for installation with a nearby electrical outlet and iron. The door style is Flat White, which is a pre-finished flat door with a white melamine coating. The cabinet interior is finished in cool grey. The exterior is finished in a flat white coating

Heavy, average quality ironing center, for the price. I've had a built in unit in a previous home that was much nicer, but much more expensive, too. I'd have given this more stars if the door had come notched, for easier opening. Instead, my husband had to borrow a router to create a notch to allow for easier opening! And, if you don't do this...your fingers are likely to sustain injury when closing the door! A door knob is highly recommended if you don't want to router, & paint, it! Since I use a wheelchair every day, this allowed both my mother and myself to iron without having to drag the ironing board out of the closet. I have a small central hall way which works beautifully.
