This is the best shoe rack!!! It’s so easy to put together - it comes in about 5 pieces and doesn’t take more than 5-10 min to assemble. It’s packed really well. The solid wood legs have a mid-century feel. This can be used with the thick mat inserts, or without them as a plastic shoe tray. The assembly was okay, it's not the easiest, requiring some moments with two people together to complete, and honestly, I only don't give it 4 stars because some screws strip during assembly. This arrived in a timely fashion, in excellent condition, all pieces accounted for. Very easy to put together. Some people complained about the posts not being exactly vertical. There is an issue since the bottom of the posts are not perfectly flat. If you're handy, you can smooth these out with appropriate tools. Good but not great? There are 12 hooks on but only 6 hangers (not that you really could hang 12 pairs of tall boots because they really need the horizontal space), so even if you wanted to hang shorter shoes, you can't. I think this would have been better if there were hooks on all 4 'sides' of the center horizontal section, because even staggered, 6 pairs of knee high boots being layered on top of each other take up a lot of room. Better than being on the floor of my closet I guess but I thought it would be a bit more streamlined.
