Absolutely perfect for my needs. We now own 5 of these gates which we use to keep our dog restricted to certain areas of the house. The features we like best are that you can install it on either side of the doorway, the gate swings both ways, and you can install it above the floor, if desired. This works out perfectly for our cats, who are able to slip under the gate (mounted 6 inches above the floor). The dogs are not able to follow. Also, the gate is very sturdy and strong and not an eyesore. Finally, unlike a pressure-mounted gate, there is no bottom support bar to trip over.. Nina. Lawrenceville, GA. Thu Jul 30 2026

They fit spindles measuring up to 6.5″ in width. Note: You will need two clamps for each side of the gate for optimal support.

Works great. Love that we could drill holes into the wood rather than our banister. I had to order more pieces than anticipated because of the style of banister. Overall, works great and we have a piece of mind to keep our kids safe. Elizabeth Female. Marlborough, MA. Tue May 08 2018

Ordered several extensions to cover about 160" in my living room. They go on easy and are very sturdy. One floor hard plastic cup was missing so I just left off the one closest to the wall since it's screwed into the wall for support. I would purchase this again and recommend it to a friend.. It fit the odd angle we had perfectly. Good and sturdy.. Linda. Omaha, NE. Tue Nov 28 2017

The Versa Gate is the most versatile gate on the market. This modular system has a variety of extensions, enabling endless configurations: it can span large areas, it can navigate difficult spaces, and it can even be made into a pen!

Very pleased with this gate, which we've had for about 6 months. It has to be installed to the wall, which is a bit of a negative, but it's quite sturdy. Our puppy learned to get out of a couple of other gates, but wasn't able to defeat this one. A larger dog (ours is 40 lbs) might be able to jump it, but ours didn't try. The doorway frame is metal so seems quite sturdy. The slats are wood and our dog did try to chew through them, but we sprayed them with bitter apple, which stopped him. We don't really need the gate anymore but have kept it for the few occasions we need to contain our now-grown dog somewhere.. Kathryn. Denver, CO. Wed Jul 12 2017
